The Investigation and Allegations
Authorities allege that Johnson was killed inside the couple’s Cottonwood Heights home following an argument. According to prosecutors, evidence collected from the residence suggested that a violent incident had taken place. Investigators also pointed to surveillance footage, electronic data, and forensic findings that they believe support their timeline of events.
One of the most significant allegations involves the witness and informant who said that he was having an extramarital affair with Gledhill. He reportedly told investigators that Gledhill admitted to killing her husband. At the same time, he was asleep, moved his body into a rooftop storage container, loaded it into the family minivan, hid his truck in a nearby neighbourhood, and later buried his body in a shallow grave. Inside the home, detectives noted a newly bought mattress in the master bedroom, heavy use of bleach behind the headboard, blood-stained walls, blinds, and carpet that tested positive for human blood. All of this suggested a thorough clean-up. A subsequent search of the parents’ home also recovered a loaded firearm that matched the gun allegedly shown to the informant by Gledhill.
